The web pages are a direct translation of a work book issued from 1985-1995 and has been used on a small scale (about 200,000 lessons) in schools for special education. It seemed the writers (Wim de Groot and Bart Bruyns) a shame to let it gather dust in the closet. Moreover, signals reached us that little material is available for this group of students. Hence this initiative to cater for this group of children.
By using tangible topics and short sentences without unnecessary scientific terms we hoped we have achieved this goal.
Thus, the lessons are even suitable for children from the highest classes of primary school.
The website has been visited since its inception in 2011 over a 300,000 times.
